Lampard confirmed that Barkley is the penalty taker when he is on the pitch having taken some in pre-season.
The Chelsea boss said: "Ross is the penalty taker, was in pre-season and was when he came on. I don’t know what the conversation was, but Jorginho and Willian were the takers until Ross came on."
He added that Mason Mount has an ankle injury but it is too early to say how serious that is.
"He has got an ankle injury, we don’t know how bad it is and will assess it. Too soon to say. It’s a shame because he has been playing so well."

Just like the Kepa incident, Azpilicueta is nowhere to be seen to help defuse a situation. Barkley refused to give up the penalty, Willian is desperate to take it too and Jorginho SHOULD be taking the pen. And Azpi did... nothing. Time for Jorginho to be made captain.

How can u make Rose Barkley a penalty taker? he does not even deserves to be in the team talk less of being a penalty taker. what exactly wrong with English coaches?, they will never learn from the best because they think they know more than anyone. Lampard should be more stern on how he handles the players regarding their conduct. If he continues being such naive and lie to cover up, pretty soon he will be packing backs on the back of player pressure. Jeez! Lampard seem to be cursed for losing games he should be winning, and for being punished for every little team mistakes on field. Chelsea FC currently could do with some luck. This really sucks. I think games against Ajax will be tough and we will at best get only 3 points from the fixture. UCL knockout hope is dire in my opinion. I would now calculate all that outcomes and rather focus on Premeire league.
