Barcelona president Joan Laporta reportedly met up with super agent Mino Raiola amid rumours linking the Spanish giants with Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba.
Despite the LaLiga club's financial difficulties, Barcelona have been linked with a summer swoop for the duo.
Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland will be available for £64million due to a release clause in his contract.
And Manchester United midfielder Pogba could join on a free transfer as he is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.
Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed that Laporta, 59, met with Raiola in Italy to discuss transfer targets.
He tweeted: 'Barcelona president Joan Laporta had a meeting with Mino Raiola in Torino today.
'Laporta's in Italy because of Pedri's Golden Boy and he met with Raiola in a famous hotel.
'The relationship is great since years. Haaland, Pogba and many other talents to keep an eye on.'
Before adding: 'The meeting between Joan Laporta, Mateu Alemany and Mino Raiola was not casual.
'It was not in the hotel were Barcelona are staying in Torino - and the meeting was planned since last week.'
Haaland's agent this week had opened the door for the striker to make a blockbuster move to Manchester City.
City remain in the market for Sergio Aguero's successor and have long been admirers of the Borussia Dortmund star, 21.
Attention turned to Harry Kane last summer after it became clear Haaland was unavailable, but a deal to sign the England captain did not materialise.
Raiola has name-checked the Premier League champions as the Norwegian's potential next destination.
'Erling can and will take the next step,' said Raiola. 'Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, City — these are the big clubs he can go to.
'City have won the championship five times in the last few years, much more than United.'
Raiola stopped short of confirming Haaland has a £64million release clause coming into effect in 2022, yet plans discussions with Dortmund's hierarchy in the new year.
The Italian super-agent is working with the player's father, Alf-Inge Haaland, who spent three years at City at the turn of the century.
'We will tell Dortmund what our idea is and they will tell us their ideas,' Raiola added.
'But no decision will be made in the winter. We always have very open communication with Dortmund.'
