Match Report

Paris Saint-Germain moved four points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after Achraf Hakimi's hat-trick earned Luis Enrique's side an emphatic 5-1 win away to struggling Le Havre.

Josh Maja had given Le Havre a shock 18th-minute lead at Stade CMA CGM Oceane, but quickfire goals from Mika Godts and Hakimi had PSG ahead going into half-time.

The champions flexed their muscles from there as Hakimi completed his hat-trick, with his second-half goals coming either side of setting up Senny Mayulu in the 62nd minute.

Just moments after Arnaud Bodart thwarted Ferran Torres, Le Havre took the lead at the other end. A lightning, free-flowing move that began deep in PSG's half ended with Rayan Fofana's cross into the box being tucked home by Maja.

But just eight minutes later, PSG hauled themselves level through Godts, who finished from close range after Hakimi was superbly found by Lucas Hernandez's ball over the top.

The comeback was complete 132 seconds later when Mayulu's clever pass split open the Le Havre defence, with Hakimi timing his run to perfection before curling his right-footed shot in at Bodart's near post.

Sota Nakamura came close to levelling things up but was met with a strong stop by Matvey Safonov, while Warren Zaire-Emery saw a glorious chance blocked at the other end.

PSG pulled further clear within 10 minutes of the restart. A clumsy challenge on Maghnes Akliouche from Amir Richardson handed the visitors a free-kick in a promising position, and Hakimi bent the resulting set-piece into the bottom-right corner.

Le Havre almost reduced the deficit just after the hour, but Maja was denied a second by the left post, and just 15 seconds later, PSG had their fourth. Hakimi's pass forward sent Mayulu clear, with the Frenchman rounding the on-rushing Bodart and slotting into an empty net.

Hakimi shot tamely at Bodart moments later, but he would not be denied his hat-trick as he completed his treble in the 69th minute, with his initial effort from Godts' delivery saved, only for the rebound to bounce kindly off him and seal the win.

Captain Hakimi get his season up and running

Ahead of Friday's triumph, Hakimi had failed to register a single goal involvement in his first seven appearances in Ligue 1. However, with three goals and two assists here, he now has the joint-most goal contributions in PSG ranks in the league this season (level with Ferran).

With Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia both out injured, many were surprised to see Luis Enrique name the in-form Desire Doue on the bench, but the Frenchman could sit back and relax as PSG's second-string attack took their chance.

Godts played his part up front, completing the joint-most dribbles (three) for PSG, while there was an all-action display from Mayulu up front. He finished with team-high totals for duels won (eight), chances created (three) and tackles won (two).

PSG have now won their last nine matches across all competitions, their best run since between January and March 2025 (10). They have also now scored in eight of their last 14 away Ligue 1 games (33 goals), the longest current run in the division.

And despite an early scare, along with Safonov saving efforts from Mbwana Samatta and Rassoul Ndiaye late on, PSG were comfortable throughout. They finished with an expected goals (xG) total of 3 from their 15 shots to Le Havre's 1.88 from their 14 attempts.
