There were very few chances in the first half, with Morata coming closest for the away side, but both teams improved after the break. Silva hit the crossbar with a free-kick for Leganes while Felix sent his volleyed effort just over the crossbar for Atletico.
It was the substitute, Vitolo, who made the difference though and his deflected effort beat Soriano before nestling in the bottom corner to earn them the three points.

Trippier's cross takes a deflection and loops into the air invitingly for Felix who sets himself before hitting the shot on the volley. He can't keep the effort down though and it flies over the crossbar.

Morata puts a good cross into the box from the right and Rosales makes a diving header to try and clear it. Luckily for him, his attempted clearance bounces back off the woodwork for his team-mate to clear.

Vitolo finds himself in some space in the box and Felix squares the ball through to him. He takes a touch before curling his effort low into the bottom left corner and is helped by a deflection off Omeruo which takes it past Soriano.
