Manchester United edged past Leicester City at the King Power Stadium to boost their hopes of a top-four finish.
Match Events
Marcus Rashford marked his 100th Premier League appearance with the only goal as Manchester United saw off Leicester City 1-0 on Sunday.
The England striker finished clinically from Paul Pogba's pass to earn United an eighth win in nine league games under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Their winning run had been halted by Burnley on Tuesday, when the Red Devils fought back from 2-0 down to claim a dramatic 2-2 draw, but the three points rarely looked in much doubt after Rashford's 10th top-flight goal of the season.

9' GOAL! Leicester 0-1 Man Utd (Rashford)
United's main men under Solskjaer link up again for a brilliant goal, but Puel will be tearing his hair out.
Right-back Pereira's clearance goes straight to Pogba in the middle of the pitch. He takes it down, and clips the ball over the top for Rashford.
The England striker's touch is brilliant and he calmly slots the ball past Schmeichel and into the back of the net.
45' CHANCE! Rashford's long shot saved
Leicester lose the ball near their own box and almost pay the price again. This time Rashford's shot from the edge of the area is gathered by Schmeichel.
60' Amazing save from De Gea to deny Vardy
Maddison's free-kick is poor and straight into the wall. The ball loops up and is met acrobatically by Vardy, but his effort is straight at De gea who gathers it at the second attempt.
77' GREAT SAVE made by De Gea!
Ghezzal is bundled over by Shaw, and the Leicester substitute takes a wicked free-kick that looked to be heading for the top-left corner but for another vintage diving De Gea stop at full-stretch!

I must say that since man utd came back from Dubai they seem to make a lot more mistakes than before the Dubai trip. At times their play is laboured, lethargic, erratic and tired looking. Apart from the arsenal game. Most of these last matches the team seems to just hang in there till final whistle. Today the passing was erratic, the movement on and off the ball was not up to scratch. Such play can be dangerous if we are to meet sharp attacking teams like Liverpool and man city.

Sanchez was disappointed to watch today, and he's been collecting 500k a week. United players used up much energy in the first half so there was a lot of fatigue in the dying minutes. Well done

What an expert location of Rashford by Pogba to set up that nice early goal, but really, de Gea again, ensured that Man United bagged all three points with that world-class save of the Leicester free kick... This is the importace of a strong back line , backed up by a solid goalkeeper, that United showed today. Congrats to the lads, especially the backbone of United's resurgence under Solskjaer : Rashford, Pogba and de Gea. I hope Man City wins so that our overtaking Arsenal will really mean something. I have no doubt, we're going into the top four- and qualifying for the next UCL. ..... PSG beware.....! The Reds are on ...

congratulations to marcus rashford on his 100 league appearance.ever since he first made his debut under lvg he has gone on to get better and better, what fascinates me more about him is his consistency week in week out. De gea was as good as ever I see him becoming one of the greatest goalkeepers to have ever played in the english premier league. Pogba is now doing what mourinho wanted him to do. defend an attack at the same time without any complain. Osg should get the job on a permanent basis ,his flexibility helps him win games; because it enables him to have a plan a, b and even see if necessary. look forward to seeing him win the league.

Congrats for the win, but Ole should stop politics amongst the players, Rashford was injured in the first half, but yet he played him till the 78 minutes. He can see Rashford was totally out of the game in the second half struggling with injury, why not bring Lukaku on time? Why waiting till 78th minutes before bring him in? Secondly Lingard is playing rubbish and yet he still keep him in the game watching him losing the ball to opponent often. You can’t keep player till 78th minutes before bringing him in wen you know that the one in the pitch is struggling. That is absolutely not acceptable. Ole should be neutral not partial, I respect him but he should do the right things to keep unity among the players. That is my view.
