Leicester 2-2 Chelsea: Rudiger's double helps Blues extend unbeaten run luckily

Leicester City remain eight points clear of Chelsea in the table after the two teams fought out an entertaining draw on Saturday.

Antonio Rudiger marked his 100th appearance for Chelsea with an unlikely brace but Frank Lampard's side are still looking for a first Premier League away win in 2020 after a 2-2 draw at Leicester City.

The battle between third and fourth in the Premier League table sparked into life after the interval, Chelsea going ahead at the King Power Stadium when Rudiger nodded in Mason Mount's corner.

However, Chelsea's lead lasted less than 10 minutes, Harvey Barnes drawing the hosts level with the aid of a deflection off Reece James to leave Willy Caballero - picked ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga - no chance.

A mistake from Azpilicueta allows Perez to release Vardy in the box. He goes for the strike first time on his left foot, but Caballero races off his line to block the effort with his legs before the visitors clear the danger

Maddison sends Vardy behind the Chelsea defence and he opts to pass to Perez rather than taking on the strike. Perez tries to pick out Barnes at the back post, only for Kante to make the intervention.

RUDIGER HEADS CHELSEA IN FRONT!!!!! 1-0!!! The Blues take the lead as Rudiger pounces with a header from close range. Mount arcs his delivery deep to the back post where Schmeichel is uncertain whether to leave his line. The Dane stays and is powerless to see Rudiger meet the cross, beating Choudhury in the air. The German sends his effort down past the Leicester keeper into the back of the net.

BARNES' DEFLECTED STRIKE FINDS THE CORNER!!!! Leicester equalise as Barnes cuts in from the left flank before seeing his curling strike deflected pass a scrambling Caballero. Tielemans releases the winger down the left into space with a precise throughball. Barnes runs at James before drifting inside to fire at goal. James gets a foot to the ball, but only enough to divert it away from the Chelsea keeper and into the back of the net.

The Foxes complete the comeback to go ahead this afternoon through a fine strike from Chilwell. He starts the move down the left by overhitting his cross into the middle, which sees Caballero scramble off his line to try to reach the ball. Pereira beats him to it in the right inside channel and works the ball back to Tielemans. The Belgian scuffs a low cross into the middle and fortune favours the Foxes as Chilwell latches on to it before sweetly striking a right-footed effort into the net past Caballero seconds after the Argentine returns to his line.

Chelsea are back in the game as the German delivers with a thumping header. Mount floats a cross into the box from the left flank and it hangs towards Rudiger. He rises to jump ahead of Chilwell and he powers an effort towards the net. It moves away from Schmeichel and evades his outstretched hand to find the back of the net. The Leicester keeper perhaps should do better, but the visitors are level in the contest.
