Lenglet on Varane controversy: VAR made a decision and it must be respected

Barcelona defender Lenglet has explained the controversy on his potential foul to Varane after the El Clasico.

Real Madrid asked for a possible penalty for Clement Lenglet's dangerous gesture over his compatriot Raphael Varane. The Barça defender said that "you can think it is a penalty", but recalled that "the VAR made a decision and it must be respected."

Lenglet: "I wanted to head the ball & used my legs for lift so I touched Varane. It's not a penalty. I'm the main character. I know I was going to clear the ball. Even if you check on VAR it's normal."

About the game, Lenglet said they leave "with the feeling of losing two points" and recalled that "we have also had chances, so we have a bittersweet feeling."

Analyzing the match, Clement said that "we have lacked more connection with the strikers. It was difficult because Madrid has played a good game."

Of course, Lenglet understands that in the Camp Nou "they come to defend themselves, unlike the Bernabéu, where they are obliged to always win."
