Levante 2-2 Atletico: Griezmann & Godin say imperfect goodbye to Rojiblancos

Levante opened up a two-goal lead but could not hold on as the 10 men of Atletico Madrid snatched a 2-2 draw in Saturday's La Liga clash.

Sergio Camello scored a debut goal as Atletico Madrid battled back from 2-0 down with 10 men to end their LaLiga campaign with a 2-2 draw against Levante at the Ciutat de Valencia.

Saturday's match marked the final time Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godin and Juanfran are likely to put on the Atletico shirt, but they could do little to prevent their side from falling behind in the first half.

Erick Cabaco gave Levante an early lead and Roger Marti seized on an error at the back from Thomas Partey to double his side's tally.

But the visitors pulled off the comeback, despite having Angel Correa sent off early in the second half, as Rodrigo and substitute Camello found a way through.

The home side won their first corner of the game and the cross was knocked on by Godin to Vezo. He heads it back into the middle and Cabaco flicks the ball over Adan and into the back of the net with the back of his heel.

He comes up for the corner and rises above his defender to get his head onto the ball. He aims it down into the ground and it bounces before rebounding off the far post and out of play.

A poor pass from Thomas is intercepted by Roger and he does really well to get past Rodrigo and chip the ball over Adan and into the bottom corner of the net. 

51' Red Card! Correa sent off

The referee has gone over to review the incident after VAR looked at it and he's now showing him a red card for lashing out at Chema.

68' GOAL! Levante 2-1 Atletico (Rodri)

BRILLIANT GOAL! Juanfran squares the ball to him on the edge of the box and after taking a touch into some space, he drives his effort into the top corner of the net to pull a goal back for Atletico.

79' GOAL! Levante 2-2 Atletico (Camello)

Koke's initial shot from outside the box is blocked by Chema and it bounces into Camello's path. He took the shot first time from close range and put the ball into the bottom right corner.

87' CLOSE! Marti's shot hits the bar

The corner is whipped into the box and Vezo pulls away to head the ball towards the far post. He picks out Roger who stretches to make contact with it and from very close range, he hits his effort against the crossbar.
