Lille OSC and Manchester City are reportedly currently finalising the last details of their agreement for the transfer of Ayyoub Bouaddi (18), according to information from journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The completion of the deal, which has been in the pipeline for several weeks now, is even said to be considered “imminent” by the various parties involved. Lille, which has no intention of selling off its midfielder on the cheap, is expected to receive a cheque for €100m in return.
This development stands in stark contrast to recent statements by LOSC chairman Olivier Létang, who had assured the press that he “still believed Bouaddi would stay” with the Dogues for the 2026-27 season. A three-figure offer could well force the 53-year-old chairman to reconsider this stance, whilst the Moroccan midfielder is reported to have already reached an agreement with the Skyblues on the terms of a potential contract.
Under contract with LOSC until 2029, Bouaddi – who is regarded as one of the world’s most promising players in his position – could therefore well leave the club where he came through the ranks sooner than expected.
