Jesse Lingard and Scott McTominay snubbed Marcus Rashford in their all-time Manchester United academy XI.

There were spots in the team for current squad members Paul Pogba and Brandon Williams, but Rashford was forced to settle for a place on the bench.

In goal, the pair picked David Gaskell – who made his debut in 1956 and went on to play for the club for 13 years.

Gary Neville, Wes Brown and Jonny Evans joined Williams in the back-four.

Williams, who has impressed at left-back this season was selected ahead of the likes of John O’Shea and Phil Neville.

Pogba is joined by Class of ’92 members David Beckham and Paul Scholes in a three-man midfield.

But there’s no place for Rashford, who couldn’t get in front of George Best, Bobby Charlton and Ryan Giggs in attack.

‘Marcus won’t be happy with you, Jess,’ McTominay said. ‘I’m not getting involved!

‘I think Marcus will be disappointed but, when he wins the Premier League, he can get in.’
