Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is set for a contract extension that will see his wages increase significantly.
Lingard's current contract runs until the summer of 2021 but United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to ensure that the 26-year-old remains at Old Trafford for the long term.
As reported by The Sun, Lingard's new deal is set to see his wages rise by a quarter to £130,000-a-week.
The academy product has made 167 appearances for United, during which time he has scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists.
Solskjaer wants Lingard to become a hugely important figure for United going into next season.
Lingard has won the FA Cup, the Europa League and the League Cup with United and will be determined to help his side improve next campaign as they go in search of silverware.
Last season Lingard mustered just four goals in the Premier League and will be looking to be more prolific.

I totally don't believe Lingard in a waste as presumed by most united fans.... Lingard has been extremely exceptional 2seasons back under Mourinho who used him more as a number 10 than on the flank. he bagged in crucial goal for us. and on the national level his been quite phenomenal.... he has got not skills yes, he is an average player yes, he mustn't necessarily be a first time player but could make do as a fringe player.... you guys should quit already and stop biting your skin.

I don’t see any sense with Manchester United contracts honestly. Giving All English players contract extension with huge payment per week. Undeserved money! It looks like craps to me as all I see is racism. I sat down few days ago and think of players blamed for United downfall: Matial, Pogba, Lukaku, De gea, Sanchez, all these players aren’t English players. It’s funny Herrera couldn’t get contract extension. I keep wondering how many good players have turned down Manchester United. We would suffer more with our money because no player wants to play for a team where Racist is one of their factors. English media condemned Di Maria, Depay, in fact many players who are not England players and they will promote their flop players despite their poor performance. If this continues, especially in Manchester United then championship will be the only way for us to get players.

Edwoodward should just leave You are set to increase Lingard's wage (somebody that doesn't even know what wing he is best in) and pay De Gea off. You should sell Lingard for £5M it will make Kouly's offer hit 100M so that he can be announced this summer as a red. Or u use his wage to add up for De Gea's wage. Many will be better off
