The Inter Miami star is just five wins away from the half century and could achieve this milestone in 2025.

Argentine star Lionel Messi goes into 2025 with five potential titles on the line for the veteran striker at both club and international level.

The Rosario born player has now amassed an incredible 45 titles in his career to date with his various club sides (FC Barcelona, PSG and Inter Miami), along with his titles with the Argentine national team. This tally doesn’t take into account his significant haul of individual awards.

As Inter Miami prepare ahead of the new MLS campaign, should he bag all the titles on offer in this calendar year, Messi could reach a staggering 50 trophies.

Inter Miami play in the 2025 MLS season, the Leagues Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup and the Concacaf Champions Cup. Argentina are set to play Spain in the Finalissima but at present, this game does not yet have a confirmed match date and there is a possible risk that it could be played in 2026 given the packed fixture list.

Winning five titles in 2025 is a highly ambitious challenge and something of titanic achievement as in his time with Inter Miami he has only managed to win two titles: the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters' Shield.

Inter Miami kick-start their MLS season in February and face Mexican giants Club America next week as the first in a series of pre-season friendly games.
