Lionel Messi led Inter Miami to their first-ever final with another goal n their 4-1 win over Philadelphia Union in the Leagues Cup semi-final on Tuesday, seizing the opportunity to score the longest goal of his career with a missile from more than 32 yards.

With the score at 0-1, Messi latched on to a through ball from Venezuelan Josef Martinez in the middle of the pitch and saw goalkeeper Andre Blake retreat into his goal in disarray.
The genius from Rosario thought nothing of it, unleashing a low, hard left-footed shot from over 32 yards that caught an unresponsive Blake by surprise and, according to the official Leagues Cup broadcast on Apple TV+, was the furthest goal of Messi's glorious career.
It was also Messi's ninth goal in just six games for Inter Miami. All six of those games have ended in wins for the Florida side.
Inter Miami will face the winner of the Nashville, who beat Monterrey, in the final. The Leagues Cup final berth comes with an extra prize as it qualifies Inter Miami for the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Josef Martinez, Jordi Alba and David Ruiz scored Miami's other goals, while Alejandro Bedoya scored for Philadelphia.

top 10 most earning players...8 players come from saudi arabia with mbappe at 4th and messi at 6th their kante earning 2× as much as what messi earns.benzema earning 5x what messi earns..no halland on the list...lets be football fans and be honest..there is no ronaldo effect there this shows us how money can affect almost anything...benzema being paid 2×what mbappe is paid is this for really...lets stop arguing ronaldo is a social media influencer while messi is a sporting influencer

My GOAT is happy again never chase money rather went to the bottom team despite being offered 1b. Inter Miami were 17 matches without win but guess since he got there 6 matches unbeaten and taken them to first ever cup final. This is what we meant by Effect and influence not other way round of accepting Oil money thinking it's CR7 influence all is money effects.

If Messi picked Spain over Argentina: - 2 World Cup wins - 2 World Cup golden boots - 2-3 golden balls - Multiple EUROs - 1000+ goals - All-time International top scorer - Multiple Nations League wins Ronaldo fans should be thankful Messi picked the harder route 🇦🇷🐐

Every pundit said this is most realistic aim for Miami since Leo joined midseason. Now after having played only 6 games with Leo, they have achieved the goal. Qualified for CONCACAF CL for the first time- funnily enough by the last placed team in the MLS table. Now they have chance to get a straight entry to 2nd round of the CL if they win the Leagues Cup. A big chance, thanks to Leo.
