Ro-Shaun Williams' own goal condemned League One side Shrewsbury Town to a 1-0 defeat by a young Liverpool side in the FA Cup fourth round.
Match Reports
Liverpool's youngest-ever side earned a place in the FA Cup fifth round as Ro-Shaun Williams' calamitous own goal gave the Reds a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town.
With Jurgen Klopp having refused to field any of Liverpool's first-team regulars in Tuesday's replay, as well as handing academy coach Neil Critchley the reins, a group with an average age of 19 years and 102 days battled to victory at Anfield.
Ultimately, it was a huge slice of good fortune which sealed the win - Shrewsbury defender Ro-Shaun Williams heading Neco Williams' crossfield ball into the visitors' net in the 75th minute.
Match Events
28' CLOSE! Jones' free-kick saved
Jones wins a free-kick, this time off Williams - he's proving to be quite the menace to this Shrewsbury defence! And he'll need the physios to check his nose out after the knock he took, though he'll be fine to play on.
32' CHANCE! Lewis' long shot wide out
Liverpool are still on the front foot and Lewis gets the chance to whip a ball in. It's much better and forces O'Leary to beat it away. It almost looked as though it could have crept in!
34' CLOSE! Williams' shot inches wide
Chance for Liverpool as Williams dances his way into space and fires a dangerous low ball into the six-yard box, but no one's there to meet it! O'Leary's beaten as well and all it needed was a touch.
58' OFFSIDE! Whalley's goal disallowed
Whalley thought he'd put Shrewsbury ahead! It all comes from the substitute Udoh - he crosses in for Whalley, Kelleher saves the initial effort, but it falls back to Whalley to head into an empty net! But VAR check the goal and it's ruled out for offside against Golbourne in the build-up!
75' OWN GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Shrewsbury Town (Williams)
It's only fitting that it's an own goal to put the hosts in front given the choas of the past few minutes! Ro-Shaun Williams is the red-faced one here as he heads Neco Williams' speculative long pass beyond O'Leary and into his own net.

To all my Liverpool fan, please do not behave like MU fan when they are at the top of table. At that time, their fan keep on condemning all team including the Reds. Keep on lower profile, just like our manager did. Just praise our team by not condemning other team. YNWA
