Harry Maguire cancelled out Sadio Mane's early opener as Leicester City picked up an unlikely point with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
Match Report
Liverpool missed the chance to open a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Leicester City on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds appeared on course to capitalise on Manchester City's surprise loss at Newcastle United 24 hours earlier when Sadio Mane fired them ahead inside three minutes at Anfield.
But, just like their nearest challengers on Tuesday, a nervy Liverpool failed to hold onto their early advantage, though a point at least extends their advantage at the summit with 14 games remaining.

3' GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Leicester (Mane)
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! 1-0 Liverpool! Just the start the hosts wanted! Mane links up with Robertson and Firmino before taking a superb touch away from Gray, drilling a low effort into the corner of the net that gives Schmeichel no hope.
25' HUGE CHANCE! Alisson plays Liverpool into trouble
WHAT A MISS! Woeful play from Alisson as he gives the ball to Albrighton, who floats a cross to the far post where Maddison is lurking. However, just a few yards from goal, he fails to hit the target and it seems he was trying to find Vardy.
45'+2' GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Leicester (Maguire)
GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! 1-1! The blue side of Manchester will be celebrating along with Leicester! Maddison's free-kick is dealt with but it drops to Chilwell on the edge of the area and he heads the ball over the top of the defence to Maguire, who tucks past Alisson with ease.
52' Great saves from Alisson!
HUGE SAVE! The ball is fired into the middle and the cries for offside fall on deaf ears. Maguire heads back into a central position and Firmino almost pokes into his own net but Alisson makes a crucial save.
74' CHANCE! Firmino's shot saved
SAVE! Henderson's powerful cross goes all the way over the box to Firmino, who cuts inside and forces a sharp save from Schmeichel. Matip rises to meet the resulting corner but heads off target.

I have always had a healthy respect for Atkinson but against Leicester he got too many decisions wrong. Mane was flagged offside twice when he was on side while Leicester scored from an offside position, ( we need VAR) Keita was clipped from behind and nothing was given. Ricardo was already on a yellow and that would have meant playing with 10 men. Is there a conspiracy against Liverpool? City could have finished the game with 10 players against Liverpool. These small errors have a bearing on the outcome of a game. Mane could have been on a hat trick tonight. YNWA forever! Onward red soldiers towards 2019 victory.
