Liverpool 2-1 Spurs: Henderson & Salah seal comeback to keep Reds unbeaten in PL

After being held to a 1-1 draw at Manchester United a week earlier, Liverpool had to come from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah struck the winner as Premier League leaders Liverpool came from behind to clinch a 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

Harry Kane scored after 47 seconds at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp's men, for all their dominance of the ball, struggled to cope with Tottenham's fast breaks and the irrepressible Son Heung-min.

Son was instrumental in creating the opener for the in-form Kane, who has scored five goals in his last five games for club and country, and Liverpool found Paulo Gazzaniga at his best in the Spurs goal as they pressed hard for an equaliser.

That goal arrived courtesy of a Danny Rose error that let in Jordan Henderson to score, and Salah fired the winner from the penalty spot after Serge Aurier felled Sadio Mane in the box.

The result restored Liverpool's six-point lead over second-placed Manchester City, while mid-table Tottenham are without a league win in their last three attempts.

Salah wriggles clear on the edge of the box and shoots towards the near post, with Gazzaniga palming it out wide. It's then turned goalwards by Firmino whose shot from a tight angle is saved too.

Van Dijk puts his hands on his face as he gets his head to a great delivery from a free-kick wide on the right, but it's again Gazzaniga to tip over.

The loose ball sits up nicely for Alexander-Arnold a good 25 yards out when Roberton's cross isn't picked up and he smacks one goalwards which Gazzaniga turns away.

Has Gazzaniga got a magnet in the ball? Eriksen gives Robertson loads of space down the left, he crosses to the back post and Firmino heads straight at the Spurs keeper from six yards.

Straight from Gazzaniga's goal kick Lovren gets beaten in the challenge by Son AGAIN, and he skips past Alisson before shooting towards the unguarded net - but strikes the bar from the angle!

The Liverpool pressure tells, and how big does that Son miss look now! Henderson twice gets in down the right totally unmarked and makes Spurs pay. 

The first time he puts a cross in which is half-cleared, but then Fabinho lifts the ball back into the box where it falls for the captain again, and he finishes on the half-volley, left footed, past Gazzaniga for a great equaliser.

Liverpool attack again with Alexander-Arnold aiming a throw at Salah down the right. He misses it, but so do Rose and Sanchez and it falls for Firmino practically on the byline, and Gazzaniga saves his shot and holds on.

PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! Mane and Aurier have a footrace into the Spurs box, which the defender looks like winning but slips. He gets up quickly but as he goes to clear the ball catches Mane in the back of the leg.

GOAL! Salah smashes the ball low to Gazzaniga's left, the goalkeeper doesn't even move.
