Liverpool 3-1 Leicester: Reds complete comeback as Szoboszlai nets a stunner

Liverpool survived a scare from Championship leaders Leicester on Wednesday night to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Reds trailed early on when Kasey McAteer scored on the counter against a much-changed home side following their win over West Ham at the weekend.

Cody Gakpo levelled early in the second half before Szoboszlai was introduced with Darwin Nunez after 65 minutes.

Within five minutes, the midfielder proved himself the match-winner, unleashing a 25-yard piledriver into the top corner worth of another Reds No8, Steven Gerrard. Diogo Jota then sealed the deal with an impudent late third.
