Match Report
Liverpool deservedly went ahead through Sadio Mane's well-worked opener, but it did not last long despite their domination, as Lingard converted to punish Alisson's error just after the half-hour mark.
Chances were not so frequent after the break and United appeared to be coping better at the back, but Shaqiri – introduced for Naby Keita in the 70th minute – score two deflected goals to leave hapless United down and out.
Match Events
24'GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Man Utd (Mane)
Mane strikes to give the hosts the lead and what a lovely goal it is. Fabinho with a superb lofted ball over the top of the United defence and Mane chests it down and then volleys it past De Gea and into the back of the net. Poor defending by United, they needed to be tighter as Mane had so much time and space in the penalty area to control the ball and produce a fine finish.
33'GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd (Lingard)
It's a huge mistake by Alisson, he spills Lukaku's low cross into the six-yard box straight into the path of Lingard, who gratefully chips the ball over the Liverpool keeper and into the back of the net. It looked to be a simple catch for Alisson, but he fails to gather the ball on the greasy surface and Lingard makes no mistakes from just a couple of yards out.
73'GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Man Utd (Shaqiri)
Shaqiri has only just come onto the pitch but he's the man who has fired Liverpool ahead. Mane beats Herrera down the left, gets into the box and his cross is deflected, then saved by Dea Gea at the near post, but the ball falls perfectly to Shaqiri who runs onto the ball and smashes the ball into the back of the net, via a deflection and the crossbar.
80'GOAL! Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd (Shaqiri)
That will surely clinch the victory and all three points for Liverpool now, what an impact he has made! It's another deflected goal, with Salah laying the ball off to Shaqiri on the edge of the box, he tries to curl the ball into the bottom corner but it takes a massive deflection off Bailly and flies past De Gea.

Liverpool had staggering 36 attempts on goal. That is enough to show who was dominating the game.

I thought I was watching Liverpool senior team playing with junior team cos: 1. They had the full control on the game. 2. They had all that composer and confidence. 3. MU were mentally nervous. 4. MU were like a lot of respect or kind of afraid to charge. 5. MU loses the ball cheaply. And the last but not the least, I saw only one coach (Jorgen Klopp) giving instructions to students.

Summary/Talking points of the game. • United 6 attempts on goal and more time in own half • Alisson more mistakes in BPL than Karius (Heard Bursaspor need a new keeper) • Liverpool run the show, 36 attempts on goal • Shaqiri is a super sub • Wijnaldum = Pogba • Fabinho > all United midfielders • Jose has Woodwards nude photos as he's lasted so long at the club • SAF literally might end up actually being appointed after witnessing what is an atrocious United side • Liverpool Mid 3 should literally always contain Wijnaldum and Fabinho with Keita and Milner rotating. Hendo is too average and Ox injured. • United front 3 should have Rashford and Martial at all times. Mata should be a starter if Pogba is not playing. • Fellaini despite getting trolled is probably United's best player this season • Finally, United have taken the "Joke club" title from Arsenal after a hard fought battle to claim it. • The only people who are still Jose in are his lovers and opposition fans 😂 • The bus was hit by a train. • Wonder who gets blamed this time; Fans? Players? board? Opposition? Staff? Stadium? Pogba? Blue bus is United defence and Red buses are Liverpool players....

Some stats abt North-west Derby here😎: 1. Alisson has made as many errors leading to goals in the Premier League this season as Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius combined in 2017-18 (2) 🤣 2. Sadio Mane has been directly involved in 12 goals in his last 16 Premier League appearances at Anfield (9 goals, 3 assists). 💪 3. Manchester United have now conceded 29 goals in the Premier League this season; one more than they did in the entirety of the 2017/18 campaign (28). 4. Xherdan Shaqiri is just the second player to score at least two goals in their first ever Premier League match against Manchester United for Liverpool, and the first since Nigel Clough did so back in January 1994.

The Reds must keep their feet to the ground. This is their season and best chance to lift the EPL trophy. It was a good game against MU and we fans hope they can maintain their winning ways till the last game of the season. If they do what a fantastic celebration. I remember the last huge celebrations was in 2015 when they won the Champion League trophy. I salute Mr.Klopp for his tireless effort in taking Liverpool as one of the best football clubs in the world.
