Liverpool 'closing in on £27m Trabzonspor wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur'

Liverpool are interested in landing Trabzonspor wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur in a £27 million move as they line up a long-term replacement for Adam Lallana.

Jurgen Klopp is poised to beat off a challenge from Premier League champions Manchester City to sign Omur who is rated as the best young player in Turkish football.

Klopp has been keeping tabs on Omur, 19, since he broke into Trabzonspor’s first team last season and is said to be looking to get his man this month.

Trabzonspor would like to keep Omur until the end of the season but it all depends on if England international Lallana is still at the club.

Southampton and Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are both interested on Lallana who has been struggling with a groin injury which have restricted him to just two Premier League starts.

However the suggests Klopp has no plans to let Lallana leave on loan - just yet.

The England international hasn't had as many minutes as he would like since recovering from injury.

Sky Sports reports Lallana remains a key member of Klopp's squad and the Liverpool boss has no plans to let any more of his players depart this month.

However in the more Omur could be a replacement in the long term.
