Arne Slot says Liverpool are "almost getting used to" conceding late goals, following their dramatic last-gasp defeat by Manchester City.
The Reds were beaten 2-1 after a thrilling conclusion at Anfield, where Erling Haaland secured all three points with a stoppage-time penalty, after Bernardo Silva cancelled out a stunning Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick.
Liverpool have now conceded four 90th-minute winners in league matches this season, already the joint-most by a team in a single Premier League campaign.
Indeed, timed at 92 minutes and 42 seconds, Haaland's penalty was the latest winning goal by a visiting team at Anfield in the competition on record (since 2006-07).
"A lot has happened, which is normal in this fixture," Slot said. "For us, we are disappointed to come away without a result.
!We are almost getting used to conceding a goal in extra time. That happened again today.
"We had a good and impressive second half but, unfortunately, it was not a positive result. So many times this year, we haven't got what I think we deserve, and this is another time."
Liverpool lost a Premier League game at Anfield in which they scored the opening goal for the first time since a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in April 2017, ending a run of 109 games unbeaten in such scenarios.
Meanwhile, having been 1-0 up in the 83rd minute, it was the latest they had ever led a Premier League home game and gone on to lose.
The Reds finished the game with 10 men when Szoboszlai was controversially dismissed after a VAR review for fouling Haaland, despite Rayan Cherki scoring from inside his own half during the attack.
However, Slot was more baffled by referee Craig Pawson's earlier decision not to penalise Marc Guehi, who appeared to commit a professional last-man foul on Mohamed Salah.
"That is not the incident we should talk about," he said of Szoboszlai's red card.
"Maybe, he should have left it for a goal as it is, but if that is the rule, that is what we have to accept.
"We can talk about the decisions. I would like to talk about the one time Mo was through on goal and Guehi holds his shirt.
"Everyone who has been in this stadium in the last eight years knows if Mo is in that position, it is a goal, so it is denial of a goalscoring opportunity."

We should have bring in defenders instead of attachers to protect the lead.... We are playing Man CITY., who plays possession football! Bring in Endo who will chase every single ball for the last 20min
