Diogo Jota has been crowned the champion of the ePremier League invitational after defeating Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final on golden goal.
Liverpool full back, and underdog, Alexander-Arnold took a shock lead on the stroke of half time.
Georginio Wijnaldum met a floated delivery towards the far post and nodded beyond Rui Patricio, with both real-life players having previously been prevented from opening the scoring after a string of stellar saves from both goalkeepers.
But Wolves ace Jota hit back in the second half through Adama Traore, who blasted a powerful effort inside the near post and ensured that the tie would once again be decided on golden goal.
Both stars also squandered guilt-edged opportunities in the closing minutes of normal time.
Alexander-Arnold failed to convert from close range, leaving the full back furious with the miss, and Jota was left red-faced after missing the target in the final seconds.
Jota secured the victory, however, after rifling home an unstoppable strike beyond Alisson.
A host of Premier League stars were competing against each other across a knockout format from their own homes, and the final was shown live on Sky Sports.
The overall prize fund for the tournament will be donated to the #PlayersTogether initiative, which will in turn support NHS staff battling on the frontline against the pandemic.
