Liverpool fans paid homage to Roberto Firmino during their 3-0 win against Leicester on Monday night.
Curtis Jones fired in a stunning pair of goals within three minutes to give the Reds a comfortable two-goal lead heading into half-time, before Trent Alexander-Arnold scored with a stunning 25-yard free-kick in the second half.
The result means that Liverpool will move to within one point of Manchester United who currently occupy fourth place ahead of them in the table.
But there were heart-warming scenes during and after the game, with the away fans inside the King Power stadium lauding their Brazilian forward who, as Mail Sport exclusively reported last month, will depart the club for Barcelona this summer.
The away fans were in good voice throughout the tie and joined in a rendition of 'Si Senior', a chant that is dedicated to the former Hoffenheim man, for several minutes during the match.
While the 31-year-old did not come off the bench, he walked over to the away fans after the game, who once again showed their appreciation for him, with the forward receiving a rapturous round of applause in what was a wholesome moment at the King Power Stadium.
Firmino joined the club in 2015 for £29million, the forward has gone on to become a hero at the club, helping Liverpool win multiple titles including the Champions League, the Premier League, an Fa Cup and the League Cup.
While rumours suggested that he could have signed a new contract with the club back in February, it appears he will become a free agent this summer, after he has failed to put together a consistent run of form in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI.
He has made just 12 league starts this season, but will be remembered by many of the Anfield faithful for some of the many excellent goals he's scored, including that hat-trick against Arsenal in 2018 or that extra-time winner that clinched Liverpool the Club World Cup triumph in December 2019.
Since his arrival on Merseyside, he has gone on to make 360 appearances while scoring 109 goals for the Reds, joining an illustrious group of players to net over 100 goals for the club.
And after the match he walked over to the fans and celebrated the result with them, showing his appreciation for all their support, by gesturing a heart shape back to them with his hands.
