Liverpool have “strong interest” in Rennes’ Jérémy Doku

According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Liverpool have a strong interest in Stade Rennais winger Jérémy Doku (21). The Belgium international has a contract that runs until 2025.

Doku, who arrived from Belgian side RSC Anderlecht back in 2020 for a reported €25m fee, was a key member in Rennes’ attack last season. Despite the club possessing an incredible wealth of young attacking talent, Doku featured 29 times for Rennes in the league, scoring six goals and registering two assists during that time.

Renowned for his impressive dribbling ability, the Belgian has attracted interest from Premier League side Liverpool, according to Toubache-Ter. The French journalist describes Liverpool’s interest as very strong and likely to result in a transfer, although no agreement has yet been reached. Currently, there is no indication how much Doku would cost, but given Rennes’ initial outlay on the winger, and given that he has two years remaining on his deal, he wouldn’t come cheap.
