Liverpool hold talks with PSG's Rabiot ahead of summer move (L'Equipe)

Adrien Rabiot has been angling for a move out of PSG all season - with every one sure he was on his way to Barcelona.

But the Nou Camp side went as far as putting out a statement earlier in the week denying they'd spoken to him or his agent about a move.

And now L'Equipe report that Liverpool have seen a window of opportunity to snap up the highly-rated midfielder.

They claim that Jurgen Klopp and his team have held 'several meetings' about the player.

Given PSG's stance - namely they've heard nothing about possible destinations - it seems that any meetings would be with the players representatives.

Rabiot would be a free agent in the summer.

However PSG know they will lose him, and are said to be keen to shift the 23-year-old on in the January transfer window so they can get some cash for the French international.

One place he won't be going though, is Spurs.

Rabiot has no intention of joining Tottenham as he believes them to be beneath him.

At least that's according to what a source told ESPN FC , who claim that Rabiot has snubbed any Spurs interest in him, with Juventus now preparing to make a move.

The Turin giants join Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal on the list of clubs linked with the 23-year-old French international, who looks increasingly likely to leave PSG in January.

Barcelona have issued a statement denying reports that a deal had been struck to sign the midfielder, who has informed PSG that he has no wish to sign a new contract.

ESPN FC also claim that PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi is irritated by Rabiot's behaviour, and at the prospect of losing one of the club's homegrown players.
