Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Alisson Becker's Liverpool future after the Brazilian was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia over the summer.
The Reds' goalkeeper has a contract to remain at Anfield until 2026 but saw his future scrutinised over the summer amid talk of a move to the Middle East. Alisson signed for the club for a record £67million fee in 2018 and has helped the club to Champions League and Premier League titles.
The former Roma goalkeeper did not see a move come to fruition but Liverpool have seemingly already prepared a successor. Arne Slot's side landed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in a deal worth up to £29m and the Georgia international will arrive in the north west after spending a year on loan at the Mestalla.
The situation appears to have pricked the ears of those in Germany and Bayern are preparing for life without Manuel Neuer, with the goalkeeping legend struggling with fitness.
According to The Sun, Vincent Kompany is a big fan of Alisson from his time in the Premier League. It may still prove a difficult task to persuade the Brazil international, who has made 269 appearances for Liverpool, to depart Merseyside.
"I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one. I am really happy here. My family is happy," said Alisson in August.
"I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this. It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal."
Since then, Alisson has enthused about his time working under new boss Slot. The club's No.1 has missed two matches for the Reds through injury but returned against Wolves and believes his best is yet to come.
"We are committed to the plan and can see it is a good plan," he said. "We still have a lot to improve but we are in the right direction. We have a big gap to reach for our best but we are doing well so far. I am committed to this club 100% and that involves being part of the leadership group.
"We were great before but Arne is bringing to us a new energy and knowledge. He is a really smart manager and he is helping us a lot. You can see from how we are playing now.
"Here at Liverpool, I improved my one-to-one so much because we had so many one-v-one situations. I can react quickly because of the way I train. The best is still to come."
