Liverpool star posts hilarious throwback for his gran's birthday... who he is?

The suspension of football due to coronavirus means players have more free time on their hands.

And one current Liverpool player has been reaching into his photo archives to share an old picture to celebrate his gran's birthday with him unable to visit her during lockdown.

The mystery player has made 177 appearances with 18 goals to his name - but can you guess the Anfield hero?

The midfielder has already won three trophies since making his Liverpool debut in August 2016.

The Dutchman signed for a fee of £25million from Newcastle United - yes it's Georginio Wijnaldum!

The 29-year-old shared a throwback picture of him and his gran from when he was just a toddler.

He wrote: 'Happy birthday gran! You mean the world to me. No jokes about my pants please.'

Wijnaldum has been a regular for Jurgen Klopp's side this season with 38 appearances in all competitions.

The midfielder has also already equalled his goal tally for last season, netting five times with nine games left to play should the campaign be completed.

His contract is set to expire in 2021 which has given the Reds chiefs a headache as there will be little time to agree new deals when football eventually returns after coronavirus.
