Liverpool's lead at the top of the Premier League remains at four points after both the Reds and Manchester City claimed wins at the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp's side sealed a thrilling 4-3 win over Crystal Palace, but an injury to Fabinho and James Milner's sending off has added to the manager's selection problems.
It has been a quiet window so far for the Reds, except for new contracts for Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But a growing injury list could tempt Klopp to look to the transfer market to keep Liverpool's title bid on track.
Here's a look at some of the stories that have caught our eye surrounding Liverpool .
Jurgen Klopp insists he will not plunge into the transfer market, despite fresh injury worries that could affect Liverpool ’s title bid.
Fabinho is the latest concern for the Reds manager, after the midfielder limped out of the game against Crystal Palace late on, with a hamstring problem.
James Milner is also now suspended for the next game, after picking up a red card for two bookable offences.
And with Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold also injured, there is a concern about defensive cover, especially at right back.
Asked if the injuries make him more likely to enter the transfer market in January, he said: "We have to use the resources we have already and that is what we try."
Zeljko Buvac's exit from Liverpool has now finally become official, nine months after he walked out on the Reds.
The Bosnian-Serb departed his position as one of Jurgen Klopp's assistant managers last April, shortly before the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Roma.
Buvac had been one of Jurgen Klopp's right-hand men for 17 years, with a relationship dating back to the pair's time together at Mainz.
Mystery surrounded the reasons for his departure, with the club just putting it down to 'personal reasons' and failing to elaborate on what was behind a fairly dramatic exit at a crucial point of the season.
Buvac had remained as a club employee since he walked away, but his departure has now become official, with the terms of his contract being settled.
Virgil van Dijk revealed Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish helped him settle - by giving him his digits.
The defender arrived at Anfield from Southampton for £75million last year - and has been an instant hit.
The Dutchman helped shore up the Reds' back line and put them in a position to challenge for the title this seson.
And he revealed the part Dalglish played in welcoming him to the club.
Van Dijk said: "Kenny Dalglish gave me his mobile number in the very beginning and told me to ring him at any time.

LFC is short of options right now. Though he doesn't want to, Klop'll have to buy a right-back. Trent's injured and Clyne is at Bornemouth...he better do something about that. And now Fabinho is injured and uncertain too. This is really bad.

Just a casual reminder that Liverpool haven't been bankrolled by a billionaire from the Middle East or even Russia..They've built a squad capable of challenging by doing good business in the transfer market & making shrewd signings..A lot of people tend to forget that.
My brother don't waste your breath on these idiots. They fail to see that we cannot compete with the mega eish clubs and have to box clever in the transfer market. They think we have a endless pit of petro dollars avail.

Kloop please we need Philip Coutinho back at Anfield.
Why? He didn't want us anymore. Will you take your wife back after she left u for another man that she loved and stabbed u in the back only to find out she don't get the love and affection you showered on her. No ways. Let him stay at the club he's heart desired. We took him and gave him the exposure he desired only to be spat on by him. Away with him. Judas.

it's really crazy how kloop think signing is not important at this stage of the competition, February is coming up with champions league knockout lining up, with all this injury at the bank and mid field why don't we get a cover up, we manage to scrape it against crystal palace but don't expect it to be that lucky next time
I wish the armchair critics would pipe down. The Gaffer knows what he's doing. We are top of the log yet some idiots keep banging on Luke they know it all. In Klopp we trust. He's brought us this far so let's giv ehin the due he deserves.

Klopp stubbornness will cost Liverpool this season EPL trophy. am very sure that was why Buvac left him 9 months ago. at this stage of the league, we do not need any young amateur at right back, pls get us another center back that can play also as right back , and a winger like zaha or a ruthless striker llike Aguero.

Klopp has presence and charisma, something little Dobby over at unitied doesn't.. No big names will play for Dobby unless they get ludicrous wages.

Signing thousand of players guarantees nothing. Kloop knows his plan n we just dont see it. If you sign all the players n the others are back, what becomes of it?

So it seems Klopp won't be signing any new player this transfer window ........Seems good our team is well balanced just the fitness of players are required this term ......They need to be injury free that's it then it would be much better 👍👍👊......... Hope in the next transfer window we sign a player like Fekir who is important for us ........ In Klopp we trust ....... You'll never walk alone .......
