Liverpool have been preparing for life after Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong expected to arrive to take the right-back's place

Liverpool take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night as they look to add some gloss to their Premier League title win. The Reds have gone two games without victory since being confirmed as champions, but can still climb to 89 points with wins in their last two games.

Once the final formalities are taken care of, a busy summer awaits. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk expects plenty of movement, though he and Mohamed Salah won't be going anywhere after agreeing contract extensions.

One man who will be on the move is Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back has confirmed he will leave this summer when his contract expires, and the final day game against Crystal Palace will serve as a farewell.

Much of the conversation in recent weeks has concerned Alexander-Arnold's successor. Jeremie Frimpong appears the most likely arrival, though academy graduate Conor Bradley could yet have a say in who starts next season as first-choice.

Frimpong's future is just part of the story as we bring you the latest from around Anfield. Here are Mirror Football's top lines as the summer window draws closer.

Frimpong contract details

Jeremie Frimpong is expected to sign a five-year deal with Liverpool. The Leverkusen star is on his way for a medical, with the deal all but done.

Frimpong's release clause - in the region of £30m - makes things a little more straightforward. He is understood to have already agreed personal terms, and could well be announced as the first new arrival this summer.

Of course, one new signing has already been confirmed the best part of a year ago. Giorgi Mamardashvili is on his way from Valencia, with the Georgian becoming Arne Slot's first signing but only joining this year.

Bradley speaks after contract extension

Conor Bradley has opened up on Arne Slot's influence after agreeing a contract extension with Liverpool. The 21-year-old's new deal is a long-term one, and will allow him to stake a claim to increase his involvement going forward.

"I've loved playing under [Slot's system] this season," he told club media. "It's been really good and I feel like it suits me really well, because I definitely feel like I've played better this season than I did last season. I feel like I'm improving under the new boss. It's been really good and hopefully it continues.

When asked about the manager's feedback, he said: "Mostly good. Obviously he's given me places he thinks I need to improve [in] and that's really good because it lets me know where I need to improve. It's been really good and any time I've spoken to him he's been really good with me and been really helpful."

Napoli wait on Nunez decision

Napoli remain keen on Darwin Nunez, according to reports in Italy. Sporting director Giovanni Manna is said to have held talks over a move for the Uruguayan, though the Serie A side also have other options.

If Nunez goes down a different route, Jonathan David could find himself at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Canadian is out of contract at Lille this summer and available on a free transfer.

Napoli are expected to cash in on Victor Osimhen this summer, with those funds going towards attacking reinforcements. Osimhen has starred for Galatasaray during a loan spell, and is the subject of Premier League interest.
