Lukaku: I wanted a Coach like Conte who helps me every day & gives me motivation

Romelu Lukaku scored in Inter’s Milan Derby victory and again heaped praise on Antonio Conte. “He helps me every day and gives me motivation.”

Marcelo Brozovic’s deflected shot opened the scoring and Lukaku nodded in the Nicolò Barella cross for his third goal in four Serie A games.

“My rapport with Conte is very strong, as he is a Coach who really helps me. At the age of 26, I want a Coach like this, who helps me every day and gives me motivation.

“I am very happy to be here and to be working with him,” Lukaku told DAZN.

It was a world away from the 1-1 midweek Champions League draw with Slavia Prague, as Inter have a 100 per cent record after four Serie A rounds.

“This match is very important for us, but we have another very difficult game coming up against Lazio. We’re pleased with the three points.

“The game with Slavia Prague was difficult, but we prepared well for tonight and we gave a strong reply. I don’t want to talk about the title now, we take it one game at a time.
