In an interview with Belgian radio station RTBF, Lukaku discussed recent controversies and his relationship with Napoli.
Lukaku said: "The way some Italian media reported things made me unhappy, they exaggerated the facts. I didn't come back to Belgium for a holiday, I just want to get back to my best as soon as possible."
Speaking about his relationship with Napoli, the Belgian striker continued: "Everything is fine, everyone understands my previous actions. My love for the club remains the same. I still have one year left on my contract, I am a part of Napoli, I have never been someone who actively asks to leave."
Finally, he also talked about his physical condition: "I'm getting better day by day, and I'm even better now than before the 2022 World Cup. I shouldn't have gone to Qatar that year."

Just say you had problems with Conte and as a result, refused to return to Napoli except the coach was gone. Now that Conte is leaving, Lukaku wants to give everyone the impression, as though, we never followed up with the whole story.
