Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, announced on social media today that Messi has donated 80,000 euros to support wildfire relief efforts that have swept through Madrid in recent weeks.
On July 23, wildfires broke out in several parts of Spain, spreading from Toledo province to the Community of Madrid. Traffic control measures were implemented on many local roads, and about 10,000 people were affected by emergency measures such as evacuations.
Now, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, has confirmed that Messi has donated 80,000 euros to support local wildfire relief.
