Real Madrid have told Gareth Bale's agent he is being moved on in the summer and as a sign of gratitude will allow him to pick his next club.
Gareth Bale is one of the players Zinedine Zidane will not be counting on next season. The French manager is planning a revolution in the summer and one of the most significant moves will be the Welsh attacker.
Real Madrid could sell players for up to €500 million with a large chunk of that coming for the player they bought for €100 million six years ago. On Monday, José Ángel Sánchez and Bale's agents, Jonathan Barnett and Luis Alonso, ate in Madrid where they discussed his future.
The director told Barnett and Alonso of their plans to transfer the player but they thanks Barnett and the player for the good behaviour and commitment to the cause shown by Bale during his time in Madrid. The meeting was cordial and they said Bale would be allowed to chose his next club provided the offers that arrive are more or less the same.
Bale's salary expectations might be a hurdle
The amount of money Real Madrid want for the player was not discussed at the meeting but Barnett has said that whatever club wants Bale will have to pay €175 million for him and the player would be demanding close to €19,000,000 net per year in salary.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are the two clubs most interested in the 29-year-old and a deal with the Premier League side might go hand in hand with a move for Paul Pogba, who has been touted as a summer arrival in Spain. Bayern are ready to spend unprecedented amounts of money in the summer as they look to rejuvenate their side and win the Champions League along with reasserting themselves in Germany.
Since Bale arrived in Madrid, he has played in 227 games, scored 102 goals and assisted 63.

Bale's agent should just sober up, no club can buy him at €175m given he is prone to injuries, add salt to injury a whooping €19m per annum in wages! Age 29 ridiculous, he's one of the prolific strikers in Europe but the figures quoted above are over inflated, he has never completed a season without a long injury lay off, that is not a wise investment a club can entertain. It is the only reason Real Madrid are offloading him in summer, since his last injury he has been playing on the periphery like a striker from the academy.

Real Madrid is a club that specializes in embarrassing it's own players. What an ungrateful club!

These Madrid boards are heartless. How can they do something like that? After all those years of dedication, of relentless working. Do you even realise that these physios and doctors who were treating Bale could have a family, kids, mortgages. How are they going to survive without work if Bale isn't there anymore?

Bale if it wasn't for injuries we would have seen more of his greatness like the goals he scored in Copa del Rey final and CL finals. They've always played him on the right but in reality he needs to play on the leftside of the pitch. Wish him well in the future.

I'm a die hard Arsenal fan but I like this guy so much he hardly complains no matter the role and game time he plays he is always calm and positive......age is on him now and it's an honor to be a Madrid player beside he deserves some credits much as Ronaldo because they both did the dirty job together when they are on the same pitch........

Count Man Utd out of signing Bale! he is not needed n will never be at Old Trafford. with his age n injury crisis Man Utd won't be that dumb to offer Bale such an amt of wage. I believe lessons have been learnt as we have another floop in Sanchez to deal with n we r not ready to add more problems into the club. Man Utd r done with signing soo called top players who waste the club's resources n produce ntn. the club's priority is investing on young top talents!
