Real Madrid are considering paying Lautaro Martínez's release clause to sign the forward from Inter Milan in the close season, according to the Argentinian media outlet TyC Sports.
Martínez has scored 16 times in impressive season at Inter
Martínez is thought to be available to buy for 111 million euros this summer - a relatively affordable sum, given that the 22-year-old has been one of the outstanding performers in European football this season, scoring 16 goals and supplying four assists in 28 appearances so far for Inter.
TyC Sports says Madrid are ready to hand Martínez a 14-million-euro annual salary as they bid to secure the summer signature of a player who has been on club president Florentino Pérez's radar for some time.
Six months before leaving first club Racing Club for Inter in a 25-million-euro deal in summer 2018, indeed, Martínez revealed that Madrid were among the teams to have expressed an interest in him, telling TyC: "I've had a lot of offers, and they [Madrid] wanted to speak to me."
Barcelona also keen on Martínez as Suárez successor
Should Los Blancos launch a swoop for Martínez, they can expect stiff competition from arch rivals Barcelona, with the Argentina international among the targets favoured by the Blaugrana board as the club look for a long-term replacement for Luis Suárez.

last year similarly the real hijacked jovic, it was initially barca trying for him but later real signed him. but Martinez need to analyze the situation properly I would suggest him come to barca only when saurez leaves and not to go to madrid since benzema is in his prime years and it will be difficult to replace him and zidane favors more of benzema. I think he must take wise decision bot get carried away by star players like messi, coaches like zidane or money. he is young so should consider his future he must take a proper decision. if he had doubt he can better stay at inter for one more season not repeat the mistake made like jovic.
