The Leicester defender is being heavily linked with a big-money transfer this summer on the back of his exploits with England at World Cup 2018
Leicester defender Harry Maguire is eager to “play at the highest level” as talk of a big-money transfer to Manchester United builds.
The 25-year-old only joined the Foxes in the summer of 2017, but his profile has risen rapidly since then.
A number of assured Premier League performances earned Maguire senior international recognition with England, leading to him making World Cup 2018.
The commanding centre-half shone for the Three Lions in Russia and is now being linked with a possible £65 million move to Old Trafford.
Maguire is aware of the speculation and admits that he harbours ambitions of playing at the very top of the game, telling The Sun: “Every player wants to play at the highest level.
“I've just come back from playing at a World Cup, where I really enjoyed the high pressure of the games. It was something that I really thrived off.
“Leicester have been unbelievable to me and I'm really happy there but I'm also an ambitious player and everyone wants to play at the top.”
Those at the King Power Stadium are hoping that they can convince a player they acquired for £12m a year ago to stay put.
Leicester boss Claude Puel wants to see the club match the ambition of prized assets, with Riyad Mahrez having already left for reigning Premier League champions Manchester City this summer.
He said of the Maguire rumours: “It is important [for him] to continue for Leicester.
“It is a good feeling. If our players are interesting a lot of clubs it is because we made good recruitment and work in our training sessions.
“It is important to continue this work. Of course, when we welcome them [Maguire and Jamie Vardy] back I hope we can to give them the opportunity to continue their ambition and perform in the Premier League.”

Maguire is a very talented player he's performance for England during the world cup was an impressive and spectacular one, but he needs to know that Manchester United is a complete different club from Leicester which means that getting into the club won't be easy and he has to perform as expected or else united is a very big and strong club before now we know how The team. is and the players they have, if magurie joins the. club he would have to do all it takes to become a regular starter and who knows becoming a world class player for the club you know how Jose is he's always anxious for quick good better and reliable results he needs players that he can rely on anytime and if magurie doesn't prove to be then he shouldn't think of anything big... But I wish him the very best he's good a club like united would be a very good stat for him

He is good at a back 3 system in my opinion and United shouldn't go as I don't think so we will play back 3 next season and he will be a flop It's better to sign Alderweireld as he is good with his experience and we shouldn't look at his age if we want to win the league next season as it's better buying a 29 year old who is more developed rather than buying a young CB who will need time and it won't be helpful if United wants to win the league The perfect example is of David Luiz who was brought by Chelsea again cause he had PL experience and he played a major part in Chelsea title winning season
