Barcelona youngster Malcom has 'asked to leave the club in January' if he does not get more playing time under Ernesto Valverde - with Arsenal and Tottenham among the clubs keen to sign him.
The Brazilian arrived from Bordeaux in a £36.5m summer move, but has found time on the pitch hard to come by, only featuring a handful of times.
He was called up to the Brazil squad this month, but on his return to Spain Mundo Deportivo report that he asked to speak to manager Valverde about his future. It has been reported that Malcom asked the boss what he could do to improve and earn himself more game-time, earning a positive response from the hierarchy.
Valverde said that he was 'training well, his behaviour was professional and there was nothing negative to say', only that he was considering other options in the squad.
Malcom is then said to have asked for the door to be opened to a move away, either on loan or permanently, if the situation hasn't changed by January.
The 21-year-old is expected to play on Wednesday night at Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey, but understandably it will need La Liga minutes if Malcom is to stay at the Nou Camp.
If he does leave, there will be plenty of clubs keen to secure him either temporarily or on a permanent deal.
Arsenal and Tottenham are the two English clubs credited with interest by Mundo Deportivo, while Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation.
Malcom almost joined Roma instead of Barcelona in the summer, so they will also be keeping a close eye on his situation and are ready to try again for his signature.

malcom will be a good replacement for Pedro and Willian on the right hand side since both are in their 30's and moreover he is a left footer and Chelsea lack a left winger who cuts the ball and shoot like man city mahrez, bernado Silva and sane all left making man city have many goals option .. . so I think Chelsea should go for malcom in January.

i m a Barca fan but i think that Malcom must leave if he is not getting any opportunity to prove himself at this stage....a player has the passion to play and would always want to play..but where he cannot even fulfill his passion, he should leave that place..so i think if Malcom still does not get enough starts or even appearances..its right for him to leave

this our board will let him go and another club will unleash him and they will start regretting just as they are regretting now for Alcacer. for me I think he should get some minutes in the game against Rayo Vallecano this weekend and also Denis Suarez. I think since we are to play Inter Milan in the champions league next Tuesday Valverde should rest some of the key players (like Busquets, Rakitic and Suarez) and give them an opportunity to prove themselves

Barcelona have a deadly squad this season and is insight to become uefa champion. But Valverda can throw everything in the gabbage like he did last when Ramos put BARCA out. He failed to make changes when that could be seen. He even ignored senior players suggestions. Here's the point. Valverde has the players but he doesn't know when to make substitution. The second is he doesn't know player management. Promising player like Malcom should always be on the bench? why he doesn't rotate players to build confidence. BARCA hierarchy you better don't sell Malcolm. Frankly speaking the couch is not apt for BARCA. Replace him now or you forfeit the champion league trophy.
