Game is over and the final score is Man City 5-0 Newcastle. Here is the match report.
Match Report
Manchester City got over their Champions League semi final heartache in midweek against Real Madrid with a 5-0 win over Newcastle.
Following Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday, City are now three points clear with three games left, and their rout means they now have a sizeable goal difference advantage - four ahead of the Reds.
A fine team goal saw them take the lead early on, as Joao Cancelo flicked on Ilkay Gundogan's pass towards Raheem Sterling who nodded into the net from close range.
Just before half time, Spain international Aymeric Laporte made it 2-0 from close range after Martin Dubravka fumbled Gundogan's volley.
Another Spain international, Rodri, then made it 3-0 with a near post header from a corner early in the second period, before Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling added more goals late on to cap off the win.
