Man City announce Anderson to wear no. 5, Guehi changes to no. 6, Donnarumma to no. 1

On August 12, Manchester City officially announced the changes to the team's jersey numbers. New signing Elliot Anderson will wear the No. 5 jersey, Guehi will change to No. 6, and Donnarumma will change to No. 1.

Elliott Anderson will wear the team's No. 5 jersey next season, following in the illustrious footsteps of Manchester City legend and England teammate Stones, who left the team last summer after 10 years at Manchester City and winning 20 trophies. Other stars such as Zabaleta, Distin, Andy Morrison, Paul Ball and Tommy Booth have also worn this number.   

Meanwhile, Guehi will change to the No. 6 jersey, Donnarumma will change to the No. 1 jersey, and Rulli has chosen the team's No. 28 jersey. Guehi joined Manchester City in January and wore the No. 15 jersey in the 2025-26 season, helping the team win the League Cup and FA Cup. Now, he will take over Ake's number, which he also wore during his time at Crystal Palace.

Donnarumma will wear the No. 1 jersey previously worn by Trafford, who made a permanent move to Leeds United last week. He wore the No. 25 jersey last season, and the No. 1 jersey for the Italian national team. He also wore the No. 1 jersey in his last season at Paris Saint-Germain, winning Ligue 1, the French Cup, the French Super Cup, and the Champions League.

Rulli, who joined the club earlier today, will wear the team's No. 28 jersey, the number he wore early in his career at Estudiantes de La Plata.
