RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins has revealed that Manchester City have asked for Warren Zaïre-Emery (17) in exchange for Bernardo Silva (28), who is being strongly coveted by Paris Saint-Germain.
Foot Mercato revealed earlier this week that PSG had offered Gianluigi Donnarumma (24) and Marco Verratti (30) in exchange for Silva, who has been identified by Luís Campos as a top target. The Portuguese midfielder, who was instrumental in Manchester City’s Champions League winning campaign has been coy when questioned about his future, and according to French media, would be keen on a move to Les Parisiens. However, Hawkins reports that the player would prefer a move to Spain.
Whilst Manchester City weren’t interested in Donnarumma or Verratti, they are interested in Zaïre-Emery, who despite significant competition in PSG’s midfield, broke through into the first team this season at the age of just 16. The Premier League side have asked for the French midfielder to be included in the deal, according to Hawkins. This request has been denied by PSG. Zaïre-Emery has two years remaining on his PSG contract, but negotiations over a renewal are yet to get underway.
