Man City seal £12.5m deal for Rosenborg starlet Sverre Nypan, beating Arsenal and Aston Villa to the teenage midfielder

Manchester City have completed the £12.5million signing of Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan.

The 18-year-old’s arrival at the Etihad comes as a major boost for City, who have beaten competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Aston Villa to land the midfielder.

He becomes the club's fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.
