Manchester United have agreed a £38.8m deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson and are also set to complete a second signing
Manchester United appear to have their next two signings firmly in their sights, with Ederson edging closer to completing a move to Old Trafford. The Red Devils look set for a hectic summer transfer window, with a host of players already being linked as potential arrivals.
Michael Carrick will have a busy summer as he plans for the season ahead, and will be hoping to bolster his squad as United gear up for their return to Champions League football.
Ederson has been on United's radar for quite some time, and a deal was struck with Atalanta this week to bring the Brazilian midfielder to Old Trafford.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, United have agreed an overall package worth £38.8m for Ederson, comprising an initial £35m fee plus £3.8m in add-ons.
United will be eager to get the Ederson deal over the line in the coming weeks, with the 26-year-old set to be the first signing of a summer midfield overhaul.
The Atalanta star is just one of the players United are closing in on, with another transfer also in the works.
United are expected to wrap up the signing of Cristian Orozco next month, once the midfielder celebrates his 18th birthday.
A deal was struck between United and Orozco's current club Fortaleza CEIF back in September, yet the talented young midfielder was unable to officially complete his move to Old Trafford owing to being just 17 years old at the time.

Orozco turns 18 in July, at which point he will officially be eligible to become a United player and move to Manchester.
United's scouting team were left impressed by Orozco, and the teenager was given a tour of both Carrington and Old Trafford back in December last year.
Despite being only 17 years old, Orozco still featured in 11 matchday squads for Fortaleza CEIF's first team last season, coming off the bench on two occasions in Colombia's top flight.
All eyes will now turn to what unfolds during the remainder of the summer transfer window at United, as the club gears up for its return to European football.
West Ham ace Mateus Fernandes is reported to remain on United's radar following the Hammers' relegation to the Championship on the final day of the season.
