A Lucas Moura double and Harry Kane's header consigned United to a chastening home reverse, Mourinho's worst since becoming a manager
Match Events
1' CHANCE! Fred's shot wide out
Tottenham raced ahead inside 11 seconds in one of the league meetings between these two sides last season, and it was very nearly United’s turn this time around!
15' Lukaku rounds Lloris but misses the open net
How did that not go in!? Dreadful play from Rose, whose awful pass leaves Lloris stranded. Lukaku takes advantage, rounding Tottenham’s goalkeeper but, with the goal gaping, he can’t turn a finish home from a tight angle. That should be 1-0 United!
29' PELANTY? Moura goes down but the ref says no!
Have United just got fortunate? Moura made a wonderful run through United’s midfield, and eventually draws a clumsy-looking challenge from Jones. The winger is bundled over in the box, but Pawson - who was in a good position - is having none of it.
42' CHANCE! That’s a great block by Herrera who, having initially been caught under the ball, scampers across to deny Alli’s path to goal.
50' GOAL! Man Utd 0-1 Tottenham (Kane)
Goal! Manchester United 0, Tottenham Hotspur 1. Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) header from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Kieran Trippier with a cross following a corner.
52' GOAL! Man Utd 0-2 Tottenham (Lucas)
Goal! Manchester United 0, Tottenham Hotspur 2. Lucas Moura (Tottenham Hotspur) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Christian Eriksen.
61' Lingard misses a golden chance!
65' WHAT A CHANCE! Alli's shot saved by De Gea
84' GOAL! Man Utd 0-3 Tottenham (Lucas)
Goal! Manchester United 0, Tottenham Hotspur 3. Lucas Moura (Tottenham Hotspur) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Harry Kane following a fast break.

Lot of respect for him but he clearly isn't adapting to the modern game and with the challenges from other teams, the tactics aren't right and his demeanour isn't right. His negativity must be affecting the players. He's not the manager he once was unfortunately.

Still wondering on how Mourinho disguised Loris Karius as De Gea 😱

No hesitations as the second half started aggressively too with Pogba making the shot but it went wide.Later on De Gea saved a tricky Spurs shot too.Spurs were given a corner which was converted into a goal due to the sweet header by Harry Kane.If that wasn't enough then Moura who had been incredible throughout the game got an opportunity and scored. How Spurs have changed the game out of the blue.Valencia got booked for a yellow card.United feeling the pressure and Old Trafford stunned.Matic is subbed off which isn't a good idea,in comes Fellaini.Still more possession with United but they're lagging behind.Lindelof pulls a Lukaku, such an embarrassing moment for United but they're saved.Sanchez has been poor so far which won't do as it's his second season with the Red Devils.Tottenham hasn't kept a clean sheet in this season but right now it seems they are gonna change that outcome.United's stamina has decreased since the first half as Spurs looked faster.Trippier subbed off as Aurier comes in and soon after Danny Rose is booked for a yellow card.Lingard gets a shot but it goes over the bar.United are getting opportunities but they continue to struggle.Lucas Moura gets his second goal assisted by Kane.United roared in the first half but fizzled in the second half.Harry Kane departs the field as he had an incredible game.Three goals conceded by United against Spurs. It's a win for Spurs and United loses ground in the Premier League.

I wanted to give myself time to settle down after this..see his reaction..see the fans reaction..see the comments on here and take it all in..this is what I came up with. The players were horrendous..simple things like dribbling, passing, shooting and even running seemed too complex to them and are not getting any better. is that coaching? no, these are fundamental skills every player should have at this level and it should be like breathing..thank goodness they can at least do that correctly. next was the tactical plan..i thought in the first half, united were carrying the play but then I realized who was in the back 3 when it started to materialize..smalling ok, but Jones and Herrera..ouch..should have been Valencia and lindelof..herrera being asked to play a high line proved costly and smalling had to pick up the slack for the Jones the whole game..the tactic was correct but the players not so much, but the manager is just making lemonade with the lemons Woodward has provided to him. the tactic was also correct but they simply ran out of gas because Valencia and Shaw had no option but to run back and make up for Jones and Herrera which took the strategy of going wide upfield away which they had done the whole first half. offensively, if you can call it that was benign at best..lukaku never got a touch in the box and should have buried the open net given to him..sanchez, Lingard, pogba were just flat out bad in all phases..matic was not ready at all and should have been subbed at the half. they are out of shape, nicked up, have no pride in their game and do nothing to convince any fan it will get better anytime soon. wish for zindane all you want but he will still have the same problems as Jose. jose needs to stop reading his resume to everyone and get back to the kind of coaching that got him here..lock this rabble down. oh and players...get your heads out of your arse and go to work..3 games and we are only 6 points from the top..dont throw the freaking towel in yet you loyal fans..be loyal and have faith..it will come and it will be wonderful...GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!

Anyone one that watch that match tonight and blames Mourihno is a fool. And the ones that didn't watch have no right to criticize Mourihno. The only person her to blame is Ed woodward but everyones eye are always on the manager cause he is on the touch line. Verdict all our defenders are pussys they are not good enough, lukaku is the worst striker in the world. if woodword is not ready to back Mourihno he must go.
I like your comment especially about Lukaku but let me ask you one question, please who brought Lukaku to Manchester united? I could remember Mourinho say that he is suffering from Vaghal mistakes or something like that but he won two trophies in his first season at Manchester united with Vanghal players, so one should have expected that man u will have a more formidable team by now with more expensive players he brought in to compare with the young talented with cheaper price players that Vanghal brought in to build a formidable team for Manchester. Am sure the management are regretting sacking Vanghal after comparing the two coaches that's why they seems not to listening to Mourinho after spending all the money in bringing in Lukaku, Pogba, Sanchez, Matic, Fred etc. So just remove this players from man u team and u will see that the remaining ones are chaff on paper but they won Europa cup and Carling cup for man u if am not mistaking which means Mourinho lacks managerial skills. Mourinho should forget about ego and I had it before because I had before is not a property. after all whether you like it or not at the end of the day it is players that makes a coach better.
