Manchester United and Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw on Wednesday, a result that does not do much good for either side's top-four hopes.
Match Report
Anthony Martial, on his 23rd birthday, cancelled out Shkodran Mustafi's opener in the first half following an error from goalkeeper David de Gea.
Alexandre Lacazette capitalised on a Marcos Rojo mistake in the second half only for Jesse Lingard to respond almost immediately, meaning each side had to settle for a draw that does not greatly benefit their top-four ambitions.
Match Events
26'GOAL! Man Utd 0-1 Arsenal (Mustafi)
Torreira whips a corner into the middle and Mustafi latches onto the end of his delivery to head at goal. De Gea parries the ball up in the air and it drops on the line, where Herrera attempts to clear but the goal decision system says he was not quick enough.
30'GOAL! Man Utd 1-1 Arsenal (Martial)
The lead did not last long! Rojo forces a diving save from Leno but Herrera prevents the ball from going behind for a corner. He cuts a pass back into the middle where Martial smashes home an equaliser.
68'GOAL! Man Utd 1-2 Arsenal (Lacazette)
The Gunners retake the lead! Rojo sloppily concedes possession to Mkhitaryan, who combines well with Lacazette to burst through on goal. Rojo charges back to clatter into the striker and ends up diverting the ball off Lacazette. A very fortunate goal.
69'GOAL! Man Utd 2-2 Arsenal (Lingard)
United equalise immediately! Sloppy defending from Arsenal sees everyone asleep at the back and Lingard takes advantage, poking the ball past Leno to spark the home fans back into life.

frankly speaking, arsenal were lucky tonight , bother goals were silly mistakes which generally does not happen during a game, united have dropped 2 points here because both goals came from proper chances created. arsenal defence is as bad as United's . united a long way from.champions league spot but this is the kind of performance I am.willing to see week.in and week out from united. Pogba and Lukaku wasteful as they were before. Mata might had made some differences in end crossing balls to Fellaini, overall good result can be better for united. #ggmu

really hope mou could see the difference when he used more young blood in the team, and you might have a better result if drop matic and use Fred and Andreas more cause matic and fellaini must not be on the pitch same time cause it slows the team down, and last but not least u must try two or three youngsters from the academy, they are the future and if you had given them a chance against Derby county you could have saved us the embarssment

What I learned today is before man utd can score, they have to concede

David De Gea is the first goalkeeper to save a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shot on target in the Premier League since Łukasz Fabiański for West Ham 102 days ago, ending a run of 10 consecutive shots on target scored for the Arsenal striker. Streak.

I'm not being bias but manu did nothing to be level in this game with arsenal to absolutely nothing! David gea made some brilliant saves apart from that nothing. Arsenal needs to do something about our defence it's atrocious! at least we didn't loose but we should have won this game kmt! Unai stop starting iwobi over lacazette too if or ne1 else for that matter start him nd auba can't u see the results?

Remember when Chelsea and United fans use to argue who is better between Drogba and Rooney😌 Now they argue who is more paralyzed between Lukaku and Morata. 😂😂😂😂

The fact is Arsenal didn’t get all 3 points is disappointing. Before the game all pundits predicted an Arsenal wins but I wasn’t too sure. IMHO we played well enough to win but let the win slipped away with poor defense. In the end 2 fine saved by De Gea made the difference. Arsenal can learn from this no matter what the predictions are, every game starts with 0-0 and we must work hard in every game. Missing a creative mid field after Ramsey was off. Iwobi has a long way to go yet to be a regular starter.

A much better performance. The team looked balanced and the game flowed. The pace of the front 3 allowed us to stretch Arsenal. We looked really good just a few mistakes and tired legs cost us. I think all the fresh players that came in did really well. So well that when Lukaku and Pogba came in, the game slowed down dramatically.

For those of you accusing Jose Mourinho of killing Manchester United and blaming his tactics. if you guys are observant enough, you will notice that those who started the game did fantastically well and was doing well till Lukaku came in , Fellaini and then Pogba all of a sudden the team started struggling. no one is going for the Ball, Rashfold becomes a shadow. too many mistakes from the boys. Jose and his tactics are not the problem, the biggest problem of Manchester United is the players. Coach did everything right but the big boys in the team are to lazy and sluggish. how i wish Jose will continue playing the young boys who wants to fight for the club

Not a good game for either side! But United needed to win more than arsenal due to the latest results! Ps. Did anyone see P Pogba in this game at all? More of the same

Spectacular match. United always perform well against big clubs which is the reason for Mourinho to still continue as the manager. Perfect Result. Both played well
