Manchester United came from a goal down to beat Newcastle 4-1 in the Premier League as both Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to action.
The visitors took the lead early on through Dwight Gayle's tidy finish from inside the box after fine work by DeAndre Yedlin, but Anthony Martial levelled with a header from man-of-the-match Pogba's cross.
Ashley Young then found the head of Chris Smalling for the hosts' second, before Pogba capped his comeback with a close-range finish from Marcus Rashford's clever header across goal.
Romelu Lukaku ended his seven-game goal drought by finishing into the roof of the net (70), and a good day for Man Utd ended with Ibrahimovic playing 13 minutes after his return from a lengthy injury.
The result means United stay eight points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games, while Newcastle are 11th, five off the drop zone.
GOAL
GOAL! MAN UTD 0-1 NEWCASTLE (Gayle 14)
United concede in the Premier League at home for the first time this season!
It's a lovely run by Yedlin on the right, overlapping and then cutting the ball back perfectly for Gayle, and he steers it into the bottom left corner off the post from 12 yards anyway.
Lindelof slipped as the ball came back, but it looked like it had enough weight on it to reach Gayle.
GOAL! MAN UTD 1-1 NEWCASTLE (Martial 37)
United are level, and they have Pogba and Martial to thank.
Pogba has it on the right flank, twists and turns and looks to lose Manquillo, and a bit of skill allows him a yard. He then dinks it to the far post, and Martial comes piling in over his marker to head into the bottom left corner from eight yards!
GOAL! MAN UTD 2-1 NEWCASTLE (Smalling 45+1)
Brilliant, brilliant ball from Young, and it's the punch in the stomach Newcastle didn't want on the stroke of half-time of all times.
It's a short corner, Young takes it on the left and looks for the far post, and it's plum on Smalling's head from four yards out. Great ball, good finish. Complete turnaround...
GOAL! MAN UTD 3-1 NEWCASTLE (Pogba 54)
Excellent from Man Utd. Mata releases Lukaku in space down the right, and he does brilliantly to find Rashford at the far post.
The England striker unselfishly and superbly cushions a header square for Pogba to run onto, and he turns it home from three yards!
GOAL! MAN UTD 4-1 NEWCASTLE (Lukaku 71)
Goal drought over! After seven games without scoring, Lukaku is back! He plays a nice one-two with Mata, and the deftest of touches from Lukaku takes it past Lejeune in the box.
He just has Elliot to beat, and he smashes it into the roof of the net! Every outfield Man Utd player goes to congratulate the Belgian.
MATCH EVENTS
8: CLOSE! Patient start by United, but then they catch Newcastle sleeping. Rashford feeds Valencia in-behind Manquillo on the right flank, and he has Lukaku running into the area.
Valencia cuts it back low, Lukaku gets good contact on it, but it's a yard over the bar! Difficult chance, good effort.
20: CLOSE! Nearly a second for Newcastle! United are all over the place at the moment, particularly Young and Smalling. Shelvey manages to thread one through for Murphy between the United pair... he's at an angle, but it goes inches wide of the far post!
45+3: CHANCES! Somehow Hayden gets past Smalling and is one-on-one with De Gea, but he doesn't open his body up enough and it's straight at De Gea from eight yards!
The rebound comes back from Ritchie, and Gayle can't adjust his body to turn it goalwards! Just wide!
68: SAVE! Murphy drives through the centre of midfield, and looks to curl one into the top right corner, but De Gea beats it away very well!
90: SAVE! What a return that would have been for Zlatan! Matic finds him at the far post, and he tries a scissor kick volley which is tipped behind by Elliot!

Here is why I said two days ago:"let the game begin"...It's true that City is ahead of everybody (points wise) but the league just began with the top six playing extremely well. But the most dangerous is the Red devil. It's simple: PAUL POGBA. He is the facilitator, the motor of the team...he is the Zidane, the Ryan Giggs,Iniesta...of the Red Devil....his presence makes everything easy for everybody.

The hitmen are back, no stopping Manchester United, go tell it to the mountains of EPL, the all must come down one after the other. Rafael Benitez felt sorry for his boys being given a serious trashing at the "Theater of Dreams". Martial, Smalling, Pogba and Lukaku did the damage. What a great come back with inclusion of the "Lion Heart" Zlatan Ibrahimovic who presented a deadly scissor kick against the foe. You are all welcome back. SHINE ON & CONGRATULATIONS for this Great Win at Home. Up Jose Mourinho, Up Paul Pogba, Up Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
