The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford despite having Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, and Harry Amass already in their squad.
Per journalist Matteo Moretto, AC Milan have now entered negotiations with Brighton for Estupiñán as they step up their search for a replacement for Theo Hernandez.
No official bid has been submitted, however, but Milan are keen on getting the deal over the line quickly in order to beat Man United.
Estupiñán will enter the final year of his contract with Brighton in the 2025-26 season with no talks over a new deal as of yet.
