Manchester United could make a move for Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Mohammed Kudus in the summer transfer window.

football.london understands that Chelsea have already sounded out Ajax over the possibility of landing Kudus this summer, with the midfielder entering the final two years of his contract. Whether they will be able to reach an agreement with the Dutch club and beat their rivals to his signature remains to be seen though.

""Let's see, there is a lot of time still in the market," the Spaniard said on the possibility of signings in the coming weeks. "There is a lot of expectation with some of our players. We will have to see how things develop in the next few weeks. We will be alert, there is still time to do things, there is still time for exits obviously, so I am sure things will move."

However, should either team not wrap up a deal soon, they may be joined by another set of rivals in the race to sign Kudus. That's because, according to The Times, Manchester United have the attacking midfielder down as an alternative to Rasmus Hojlund if they are unable to agree a move with Atalanta.

While the two play slightly different positions, with the latter playing as a striker, Kudus is viewed as a player that could play further up the pitch if required. The report claims that manager Erik ten Hag is a huge admirer of the midfielder, describing him as "high potential" and even discussing his traits internally with other colleagues.

The Dutch manager was the one that helped bring the Ghana international to Ajax in the first place, having been in charge when the move from Nordsjaelland was completed, even adding him into the team towards the end of his tenure. It could give both Arsenal and Chelsea another thing to think about in the race for the star this summer.
