Philippe Coutinho's confidence has taken a major hit at Barcelona just a year after arriving.
Coutinho was a big-money arrival at the Nou Camp last January as he left Liverpool in a £142m deal.
But things haven't worked out for the Brazilian, who has failed to replicate the form that persuaded Barca to cough up for his services.
He was on target in the Copa del Rey in midweek but that was his first goal since October and he has been warned he must knuckle down and fight for his place by boss Ernesto Valverde.
Coutinho is unsurprisingly disappointed with how things are going and MARCA reports he is at rock bottom due to the current situation.
He has lost his place in the side to Arturo Vidal and Arthur in recent months while Ousmane Dembele has now overtaken him in the pecking order.
It has led to reports that he could be on his way out of Barca in the summer, with the La Liga leaders looking to cash in on to fund a move for Neymar.
And that has led to speculation that Manchester United could look to bring him back to the Premier League.
It would be a huge deal if United can pull it off to take a former Liverpool star to Old Trafford.
But Barca will only listen to offers that will see them pocket the same fee they paid for the player, reports Calcio Mercato.
United face having to pay close to the £142m for Coutinho, which would be a record for the Premier League.

Coutinho is not a winger .... he is a attacking mid like de bruyne for man city.....but why that Barca coach is using him as a winger.....I think he destroyed the excellent prestige and career of coutinho and make him just like a normal football player....if I see velverde once in my life time than I will surely bit him by my shoes on his cheek😒😒...Why he is doing soo 😥....He make coutinho in the shadow of dembele.....but it will not be....he will prove once again that he is a true legend like ronaldinho😍. Coutinho is good but If we looking at more attacking and some1 to play on the right it will be a player like Dybala. powerful left foot dribbling skills young can partnership with Pogba. value could be less then 142 million. Verrati could replace Matic and younger brilliant mind and long ball and will fit in beautifully behind Pogba. bridging the gape between defence and midfield and Is compared to Iniesta. next best two players are youthful and talented Asensio and Isco two Spaniards to replace two Spaniards Mata and Herrera.

With all the drama that he caused while leaving Liverpool for his dream Barcelona move, I feel he should embrace himself a little more, give himself more opportunities, it's only been a month since he lost his place, & I wouldn't give up on my dream just so easily. I would fight for it.

something is happening at barca that is robbing players of their inspiration or motivation. I hope the case with coutihno will not end like that of Parco Alcacer. Alcacer was discarded by varca only to set the bundesliga alight. Pls barca grt to the bottom of this. the same was said of Dembele. He was electric at Dortmond but dipped when he moved to barca. c'mon it cant just be the players. the enviroment at barca must be contributing to their low morale. something is amiss there.Oi suspect the coach, much like the morinho Pogba case. please please barca dont let things degenerate. do something.
