TMW says last night, Roma chief Ricky Massara informed Palmeiras they plan to meet their €30m demands.
Roma are ready to make an easily achievable offer of €28m plus €2m in bonuses. The initial offer, €25m plus €5m, was rejected.
For his part, Rios has already approved the move. He has received a package from Roma of a five-year contract worth €2m-a-season.
However, United are making a late bid to trump Roma, with an offer of £30m planned. But for the moment, Rios favours the Roma option.
