Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff flew to Barcelona on Saturday for a spying mission on their Champions League opponents.
Spanish champions Barcelona faced second placed Atletico Madrid in La Liga at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening, four days before they take on United at Old Trafford in the Champions League quarter final first leg on Wednesday.
Solskjaer, assistant Mike Phelan and coaches Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna took the opportunity to get a closer look at their rivals before heading back in time to take United training at 11am on Sunday.
United's squad trained on Saturday too with Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez stepping up their fitness.
Rashford is nursing ankle injuries but has shaken off the heavy cold that affected him at the start of the week and contributed to him missing the defeat at Wolves.
Inter Milan are showing an interest in Romelu Lukaku who will discuss his United future at the end of the season.
The Italian side are contemplating replacing coach Luciano Spalletti with Antonio Conte but any proposed deal for Lukaku would be a serious test of their budget.
