Manchester United round-up as potential successors to the under-pressure Michael Carrick emerge
Manchester United are in the midst of another crisis ahead of Sunday's home clash with Bournemouth. Wednesday's 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Como has piled further pressure on Michael Carrick.
As well as poor results on the pitch, there is disharmony in the dressing room, with Bruno Fernandes speaking out against the manager, accusing him of getting his tactics wrong against Como. Carrick hit back by questioning the team's work-rate.
Carrick will be in charge for the Bournemouth game but club chiefs are considering making a change in a bid to save a season which is threatening to unravel completely. Numerous big names have been linked with the Old Trafford hotseat, including some who are out of work.
Given the managerial churn at United, it must be asked if the club remains the sought-after destination it has traditionally been. As Carrick sweats over his future, here's a round-up of the latest United news…
Hurzeler decision made
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler would reportedly turn down an approach from United. The German coach, 33, has done a phenomenal job with the Seagulls, who are third in the Premier League and chasing Champions League football.

As a result, Hurzeler has been touted as a potential successor to Carrick should United decide to make a change. However, Brighton are not worried about losing their head coach, who does not have a release clause, reports The Sun.
Also, with Brighton seemingly going places under his leadership, Hurzeler is said to be not interested in the United job at this time. It is claimed he would be more open to approaches from clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, though such moves may be years away.
Nagelsmann shows his hand
United will reportedly consider Julian Nagelsmann if Carrick is sacked. The former Bayern Munich boss was in the reckoning for the job in the summer before Carrick was handed the keys on a permanent basis.
As he was set to lead Germany at the World Cup, a move never materialised. But after resigning in the wake of the country's last 32 exit, Nagelsmann is on the market and ready to return to club management.
According to The Telegraph, the 39-year-old 'would listen' to an approach from United and is regarded as a leading candidate for the job. Nagelsmann has been linked with Premier League jobs before, having previously interested Chelsea and Tottenham. Former Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, who is also out of work, would be another strong candidate for the job.
Antonio Conte is believed to be interested in reviving United, although there are doubts over whether his strong personality would be a good fit for the club.

Hurzeler is too young to resist the Manchester United management pressure. He better refuse and save his admirable coaching reputation for real.

What Man UTD need is a coach with a legacy and takes complete control where player power doesnt takes place. After Mourinho, we never had one...Amorin tried but he doesnt had that legacy to get support from Management.
