Manchester United's players will train at the club's old training ground The Cliff on Wednesday morning as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to give his squad 'a reality check'.
The squad will leave their pre-Manchester derby base of the Hilton hotel (at 10.30am) and head to Salford for a light training session as Solskjaer seeks to underline the old values and basic requirements he expects for tonight's game with rivals City.
Solskjaer said he and his players were hurt by their performance in the 4-0 defeat at Everton and that many needed a reality check of where they were in their careers.
He hopes a change of environment to the training ground where United's great sides were shaped can help regain their focus ahead of Wednesday's game and has told his squad to deliver a performance that can 'restore pride in the badge'.

Ole needs to stop living in the past and try and create his own history. With Alex Ferguson still involved and these constant stories no wonder they play with no identity.
Sometimes you have to refer to the past and find something about it to motivate and drive youforth.

Living in the past? I think not. Ole is only 40+. He can do so when he is 60. The cliff should be an older place, not so fantastic facilities. If I am ole, I will observe their attitude. Those that care and train hard and those that can't be bothered. I would know who will play against MC.

Club History doesn't matter to footballers anymore... This generation and the ones to follow its all about the cars cash and media profile. Those days are gone especially in the Premier League.

When he's sacked maybe he can take people round the ground and talk about the past that seems like the only thing he's good at.

The current MU squad won't give two hoots or know anything about its distant past, they don't need to or want to. Money is what matters. OGS feeble ideas and weak authority are making it worse. What a wet lettuce at the wheel.

Training there is not going to help. Get rid of the useless players and Ole needs to go too. He does not have enough experience nor does he command the respect as managers of the ilk like pep.

This is embarrassing. The current bunch don't care about history. They are milking the club for cash only

This kind of environment is what got Liverpool in trouble. Constantly trying to regain the old spirit, trying to recreate old glories. It took them nowhere... The games moved on and you only progress by moving forward. Something Liverpool learned with only their latest owners.

Cardiff mk2 on the way. Doing things like that ole means nothing to these players, they are not interested in the history of the clubs they play for. You'd be better off taking them to legoland for all the good it will do

Many of todays football players no longer play for the badges, the money counts much. Anyway all the best to United. Let's go it

Stop living in the past Ole, these kids arent interested in a history lesson, this generation doesnt get it, thats why SAF got out, he knew times were changing. How many of the team are United fans? The fact is barring a few that maybe fans none of this bunch care they just want to turn up and take the cheque.

He is trying to inspire the players by telling players our history but it wont make any difference because the players are not playing for club they are just playing for money
